 AHQ Tours: 2003-2004

In January the AHQ travelled to the southeastern US for concerts in Florida. In Orlando Charlie met up with an old friend and colleague, Bob Moore. Bob was previously the principal horn in Bonn, coincidentally Geof's predecessor there.

At a masterclass in the Rogers Room of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, Kerry explains some of the finer points of ensemble playing.

In Orlando, Kerry discovers some neat headwear at the First United Methodist Church.

In March the AHQ travelled to Milano, Italy for some performances with the Pomerigi Musicali. We discover a poster advertising our performance.

Again in Milano, in front of the famous "La Scala" opera house.

The Horn Trio Prague joined the AHQ in a concert during the Workshop in Winterthur. From the left: Zdenek Divoky, Jiri Havlik, Jindrich Petras and Jarmila Panachova, pianist.

In July the AHQ participated in the IHS Symposium held in Valencia Spain. Amoungst other performances, the AHQ joined forces with the Budapest Fesitval Horn Quartet and Kristina Mascher to perform Turner's "Take 9 Fanfare".

The AHQ enjoys a japanese meal with Frank Lloyd and Hermann Baumann.

In August the AHQ performed at the 2nd Melbourne International Festival of Brass. Our concert included a rousing performance of Thomas Müller's Concerto Asssurdo featuring Barry Tuckwell as the solo horn!

Relaxing after hours in the Cleo Bar with Barry Tuckwell and Kristina Mascher.
