AHQ Tours: Tours up to 2000

We have been to Hong Kong several times. Our visit in November
of 1997 included a wonderful lunch as a treat from the students
at the Academy.

In November of 1998 we toured the midwest. Our first stop was in
St. Paul, MN, where we performed works by Telemann and Handel
with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. In this picture we are
accompanied by the principal horn Herb Winslow and second horn
Paul Straka.

The places you visit on tour! After our stay in St. Paul, we
found ourselves at the geographical center of North America, in
Rugby ND.

Our last stop in November '98 was in Willmar, MN. At our
performace there I noticed a man in the audience busily writing
in a note pad as we performed. I met him afterwards and
discovered to my relief he wasn't a critic, but rather an
artist. We have Dave Chase to thank for this image of our
performance.

In April of 1999 we travelled to Brno in the Czech Republic where we had
two performances with the Brno State Orchestra.

Another portrait from our trip to Brno.

In August of that same year we found ourselves once again in the Czech
Republic, this time we were guests of the Horn Music Agency and the
Hornclass 1999 in Nove Straseci.

In May of 2000 we travelled to Hong Kong again. Here we are performing a
"tea time" concert in the main foyer at the Academy for
Performing Arts.

At the gala concert of this visit we had a chance to perform Bissel's
arrangement of music from "Titanic". We were helped by the
horn section from the Hong Kong Philharmonic (Mark Vines, Olly Green,
Jonathan Eddie and Tina Brain) as well as students of the Academy.

After finishing the recording of our CD "Ricochet", we relaxed
at one of our favorite pubs in Luxemburg.

The food is great in Hong Kong, we had one last delicious meal with our
colleagues and hosts.

This picture is from our performance at the Robert Schumann Music School
on June 3, 2000.
